Bill IORP II: tensions in the Dutch building

At the invitation of VvPj – Association of pension lawyers – Jos Gielink contributed to the Pension Law Lunch on 12 December 2018 at the Auditorium of the VU University of Amsterdam. In his lecture Jos examined the difference between the minimum standards of the IORP-Guideline and the stricter standards of the Dutch Pension Law regarding finance and governance. The question why the Netherlands has introduced more stringent requirements than European standards demand, and the negative consequence for the pension sector, is rarely addressed. A PDF of the highly appreciated presentation can be downloaded here.
